Ginger Syrup
Ingrediants
- 6oz fresh ginger, peeled and cut into rounds
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup extra water
Instructions
- Add ginger, sugar and first cup of water to pot. Heat until sugar is dissolved.
- Measure distance from bottom of pan to top of water (use metal ruler or marked board scrapper)
- Add additional water.
- Simmer until water returns to originally measured level.
- Run through rough mesh to remove ginger and let cool.
Ginger ale: 1 part syrup to 4 parts seltzer water.
