Ginger Syrup

Instructions

  1. Add ginger, sugar and first cup of water to pot. Heat until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Measure distance from bottom of pan to top of water (use metal ruler or marked board scrapper)
  3. Add additional water.
  4. Simmer until water returns to originally measured level.
  5. Run through rough mesh to remove ginger and let cool.

Ginger ale: 1 part syrup to 4 parts seltzer water.
